Back from France: VP Murray Dunn is excited for the future

I’ve just returned from a great trip where my bike team and I rode through the French Alps shadowing the Tour de France…. there are many parallels to climbing the Alps and launching a new PaaS product. We had to climb some steep and almost insurmountable mountains, avoid some big obstacles (like an avalanche), and had a lot of fun and celebration along the way.

I’ve returned to a lot of forward momentum here at HQ. The Connection Cloud has been featured on GigaOm in a great article explaining how our service solves the information integration problem that has arisen as SaaS applications become the standard for businesses to store their information. We have over 500 companies using the technology.

Overall, I am excited to see the Connection Cloud moving in a positive direction. My dynamic team has been working hard in my absence, and though I had a great time in France, I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the office.

I wasn’t the only one caught up in the excitement of the Tour de France. Our partner, Yellowfin, has data visualizations on the exciting race, mapping everything from average speed to entrants vs. finishers. Check it out here.

GigaOm feature: “Startup Connection Cloud aims to free your SaaS data”

GigaOM’s research and analysis report this week talks about how to “Free Your SaaS Data” with the Connection Cloud. Editor and Reporter, Barb Darrow explains how we strive to make data access and integration easy.

“The goal is to let businesses funnel their data from SaaS repositories into their analytical tool of choice which they can use to parse it and combine with other data as needed,” the article states.

SaaS applications are quickly becoming the standard for businesses. However, Cloud interoperability is a big issue for business customers. As much as they like the SaaS model, companies are finding that locking their data into these data “silos” presents a challenge to access. After all, CRM or ERP data is more valuable to them if they can download and process it with other data using their tools of choice — preferably in real time. That’s a big problem to take on but Cloud Connection, given Sippl’s background, may have the technological chops to succeed.

Check out the article here.
